This project began a few years ago after an inspirational visit to the Women's Rights National Historic Park in Seneca Falls. New York. Since then it has grown into a multi-faceted exhibition and project that centers on the significance of wearable objects in our nation’s social and political movements. Worn aims to provide a forum for visitors to connect to the past, share their own stories, and leave with the recognition that small gestures can be incredibly powerful.
In addition to the public art project Underpin & Overcoat currently on view in Rochester, New York, and the community art project, Sash Memorial, an exhibition will be hosted by the Solarium Gallery at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Spring 2021. Check back for more images and info in the coming months!
